Mal-Simon, Stables, re: Kaylee.

Since the earthquakes that had literally shaken the stables to their foundations, Mal's been trying to take more personal care of Tequila, and that's just what he's doing today -- he's been out in the stables so long that it was only the rumbling of his stomach that told him to go inside for food before heading out to work again.

At the moment, Mal's actually braiding Tequila's mane. Far from being cosmetic (no matter what Lilly says), it keeps the long hairs away from Tequila's neck as Mal brushes him underneath.
